Moving Knowledge provides curriculum support to help your school seamlessly integrate movement & dance into classroom activities, whilst addressing all ‘achievement standards’.
The Moving Knowledge model offers tools that empower your staff to ‘direct’ students through a moving exploration of their classroom learning areas and curriculum matter. This cross-curricular model incorporates the Dance curriculum into Key Learning Areas.
Through a series of ‘directions’ the students will ‘explore’, ‘improvise’, ‘devise’, ‘sequence’ and ‘choreograph’ their ‘expressive ideas’ using the ‘body-mind’ and ‘dance elements’ to become story tellers, audience members, performers and collaborators along the way.
The Moving Knowledge model allows for a more bodily-kinaesthetic, creative and engaging classroom whilst eliminating the need for outside ‘dance contractors’.
